Why does dog size affect human age conversion?
Larger dog breeds age much faster than smaller ones. While a small Chihuahua is considered senior around 11–12 years, a giant Great Dane is already senior by age 6–7. Size-specific equations account for these varying lifespans.
How do cats age compared to humans?
Cats age very rapidly in their first two years. A one-year-old cat is roughly equivalent to a 15-year-old teenager, and a two-year-old cat is around 24. After age two, cats age at a constant rate of about 4 human years for every calendar year.
